LIFE JOURNEYS

I need time away.

LIFE HAPPENS

We get it. Whether good or bad, we’re here to help you. ONEOK has many options for when you need time away from work, whether it’s simply paid time off (PTO), or requesting disability. Let’s review your options below.

Paid Time Off (PTO), Including Holidays

PTO is granted for a 12-month period on the first day of employment and can be used for vacation, personal time away and personal illness1.

Footnotes
  1. PTO renews each year on the first day of the month in which you were hired.

  2. If the allotted PTO is not used by the last day of the month prior to the next PTO allotment date, up to 40 hours may be carried over to be taken within 12 months.

Other Time Off

As you’re planning for your PTO, we are pleased to share that ONEOK also recognizes the following as paid holidays:

Holidays

  • New Year’s Day.
  • Memorial Day.
  • Independence Day.
  • Labor Day.
  • Thanksgiving Day.
  • Friday after Thanksgiving Day.
  • Christmas Eve.
  • Christmas Day.

Floating Holidays
You receive two floating holidays a year to use between January 1 and December 31. During your first calendar year, eligibility is based on date of hire. Unused floating holiday hours will not be paid upon termination and will not be carried over to the next calendar year.

Personal/Family Care
You receive a maximum of 24 hours (full time) or 12 hours (part time) of personal/family care time. During your first calendar year, eligibility is based on date of hire. Personal/Family care allows time off for medical appointments, personal illness, a covered family member’s medical appointments or illness and other leaves as required by state law. Unused personal/family care hours will not be paid upon termination and will not be carried over to the next calendar year.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

Disability plans are here to support you when you need to take an extended leave from work, whether for the planned or unexpected.

Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave

You are eligible for up to six weeks of leave, paid at 100% of your salary, to bond with your newly born or adopted child. Just keep in mind your leave must be taken consecutively and start by the end of the third month following the birth or adoption. (If the employee is the birthing parent, they will start leave once they have been released from short-term disability.) The birth or adoption must also take place after your start date.

Important

Newborn or adopted children aren’t automatically added to the ONEOK Health Plan, even if both parents are enrolled. You must complete a benefit change in Workday within 90 days of the birth or adoption if you want coverage (there is no need to wait for state-issued documents, such as the birth certificate, to submit your change in Workday).
